Civil Engineering

The Construction Technology technician (Diploma Holder) can take up supervision of construction work of all types, surveying and leveling and data collection. He / She can also be take care of material management. He / She can get employment as an overseer/ Junior Engineer in infrastructure development projects, Municipal Corporations, Building and Communication Department, Irrigation and Power Department, State Electricity Board, Housing Board, Building Repairs and Reconstruction, Public works departments, CPWD, national highway authority, military engineering services, railway engineering, private construction firms, etc. He/ She can also find employment in consulting and architectural firms or work independently as a contractor. Also he/ she can start a small scale industry related to construction like manufacturing of Paver Blocks, tiles, manhole covers, furrow cement concrete products, fabrication, road dividers, bricks making, mortar blocks, stone crushers etc.

Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering

The emphasis of this course is on testing, modification and development of circuits in control of power to industrial drives and control of signals in test process instrumentation and communication. The job prospects of a diploma holder in Industrial Electronics are as Technical Assistant, Supervisor in quality control, Production Development and Maintenance department of industries which Manufacture and use electronics equipment. There is much scope for self employment in manufacturing of electronic equipment and gadgets including Radio and T.V. Receivers and VCR.

Mechanical Engineering

The Mechanical engineering branch emphasis on manufacturing in Engineering Industries. The diploma holder can work in Engineering Department, Inspection, Quality Control, Maintenance and Production shops and Industrial Engineering Department in industries involved in manufacturing of industrial machine tools, automobiles, ancillary industries, electrical machinery etc. and the shop floor management in the Production Industries. Technician in these branches will have good scope in Research & Development Department.
